Coastal Explorer Intern

Ben has joined Adonis Blue Environmental Consultants on the Coastal Explorer Internship, a six-month programme in partnership with The Crown Estate, Vattenfall and Canterbury City Council. He has recently completed a Master's degree in Marine Environmental Management at the University of Exeter, where his thesis focused on the biodiversity value of Cornish seagrass meadows. Ben has previously worked as an Assistant Ecologist for an environmental consultancy, undertaking protected species and habitat surveys to inform sustainable development. He has also completed a voluntary post on Lundy Island, Bristol Channel where he worked as the island's 'Seal Warden', conducting population and productivity surveys during the Atlantic grey seal pupping season.

Ben is a keen diver and thoroughly enjoys exploring the marine environment in his spare time. He has a passion for rewilding and is particularly interested by coastal and marine habitat restoration efforts taking place in the UK.
